Day of
Caring 2025: A Celebration of Service and Community
On October 24, 2025, we celebrated our 32nd Day of Caring — and what a day it was!
Thank you to all the
volunteers, project hosts, sponsors, and community partners who made this
year’s event possible. Your generosity, teamwork, and dedication made a
meaningful difference across our community and helped strengthen the
organizations that serve it every day.
Our 2025 Impact:
713 volunteers came together to serve 68 projects completed across local nonprofits and schools 2,978.45 volunteer hours contributed $98,288.85 in community impact value.
From painting classrooms and
beautifying outdoor spaces to supporting local nonprofits, each project
reflected the spirit of care, teamwork, and community pride that defines Day of
Caring.
“We are so thankful to live in
such a kind and caring community,” said Laura Gilliam, United Way of West
Florida President and CEO. “The heart and sweat these volunteers put into the
32nd Day of Caring makes a huge difference for local nonprofits and our
neighbors they serve”.
Day of Caring is a community-wide initiative that connects volunteers and resources with local agencies and schools in need of support in Escambia and Santa Rosa County.
