What is VITA?

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers FREE tax help to taxpayers who need assistance. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified taxpayers. Taxpayers can earn up to $6,269 from their earned income tax credit (EITC).

VITA is 100 percent FREE. 

Qualified taxpayers can include, but is not limited to:

• Those who make $7 or less
• Those with disabilities
• Those with limited English

HELP REVITALIZE OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY AS A VOLUNTEER

Our tax preparation program, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), provides tax preparation to families in our community with an annual income of $67,000 or less. This service is 100% FREE to those that come to our sites for income tax preparation. BUT...we need YOUR help as a volunteer!

There are two ways to serve: Client Greeter, and Tax Preparer

Volunteers for this program come from all walks of life: Working individuals, retirees, students, homemakers, professionals and those with a desire to give back to the community in a meaningful way.
