Volunteer: Donation Room Organizer needed.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented volunteer to organize and maintain our Donation Room, which provides essential supplies to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Position Summary

The Donation Room Organizer plays a key role in ensuring donated items are sorted, stored, and distributed efficiently. By creating a well-organized and welcoming space, you help our team quickly connect people with the basic necessities they need.

Responsibilities

Sort and categorize donated items (hygiene products, clothing, blankets, non-perishable food, etc.)

Check donations for quality and usability

Organize shelves, bins, and storage areas for easy access

Monitor inventory and notify staff when supplies are running low

Help prepare supply kits as needed (hygiene kits, cold weather kits, etc.)

Maintain a clean and orderly donation space

Ideal Volunteer Qualities

Organized and detail-oriented

Able to lift and move boxes (up to 25 lbs)

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Compassionate and respectful toward individuals experiencing homelessness

Available on an as-needed schedule ( Monday - Friday flexible hours available)
