Our campus needs a refresh! This project includes mostly outdoor activities. Volunteers are needed to help tend to the front of the campus. We have garden beds that need a fresh layer of bedding, and build chairs for recess area for the teachers. If we have time, we would love to have some touch-up paint on our P.E. ramp. 

The Jay Area Chamber of Commerce is working toward a fresh regrowth, bringing together local businesses and families to strengthen our community. The Marketplace on Commerce Street will serve as a central gathering place for events like the upcoming Monster Dash and Chili Bash, the Spring Street Sizzle, a place to hold Chamber meetings, and more. To prepare for these events, we are organizing cleanup efforts that may include painting, landscaping, pressure washing, and other improvements to make the space welcoming for everyone.

Manna receives food donations from businesses and organizations throughout Escambia and Santa Rosa counties and has the responsibility of picking up those donations. Manna also delivers food to our partners and program sites. Volunteer Drivers assist our warehouse staff with pick-ups and drop-offs to ensure we run the most effective, efficient schedule possible. We are seeking a dedicated volunteer Math Teacher to join our GED Program. Classes are conducted virtually, offering flexibility and convenience. Our 215-year-old house needs maintenance inside and out.  Deep cleaning, polishing furniture, and other indoor tasks.  Outside we need both light and heavy yard work.  Lawn maintenance, tree trimming, planting flower beds, and other outside tasks.

ReadyKids! is a local nonprofit with a mission to increase Kindergarten Readiness. As a Pre-K mentor or ReadingPals, you will work 1-to-1 with a Pre-K student to create a love for learning, build a positive relationship, and have fun! The obligation is one day a week for a 45 minute mentoring session at the school of your choice and day of the week that works best for you! 

The Red Cross is over 90% volunteer run, and we depend on the time shared by licensed mental health professionals to provide proper assessment and referrals for our clients and crisis workers.

This short term crisis management is for those who have been impacted by local disaster; often home-fires. This includes members of the affected community as well as other members of the Red Cross workforce experiencing the stress of disaster response.

The Canopy of Hope is a transitional, temporary safe haven for women who have been trafficked, abused, homeless or coming out of addiction.

We are in need of volunteers who like to cook or provide a meal for others. You can provide a meal weekly or monthly in the comfort of your own home. If you don't like to cook, you can have a meal delivered or purchase a pre-made meal at the grocery store. Your generosity not only is a blessing to our ladies, but will bless you as you are helping provide for ladies who need to feel loved and cared for.

Furry Friends of the Panhandle Rescue is dedicated to rescuing and caring for puppies who have been abandoned or neglected. To help our mission, you can make a difference by donating linens and t-shirts. This volunteer activity can be accomplished as individual or as a team. Ask your friends, family, neighbors, or church members to clean out those closets and donate linens and t-shirts to our rescue. Sheltering Service Associates (SA) complete tasks necessary for shelter operations and interacts with clients to ensure their needs are met. Sheltering Service Associates (SA) support the day-to-day activities within a shelter, which can include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information or other areas within a shelter. Provide 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, particularly house fires, ensuring that those affected have access to resources.

We are looking for the donation of a 48kw power generator to run our medical facility during power outages or disaster recovery. Our medical facility is essential to the welfare of the animals enlisted to our care, but without a generator we can not safely  return to the facility or perform any services in the building.  We are looking to have this piece of equipment donated to ECWR .  Our quoted price is 32,000. This October the children in Camp Fire’s 2 after-school programs will participate in the Cardboard Challenge, an educational and community initiative inspired by the viral short film, “Caine’s Arcade”. In this year’s Cardboard Challenge, we invite kids in our programs to design and build games using only cardboard, recycled materials, and their imaginations.

Our Tower Docents work 3 or 4 hour shifts at the top of our Lighthouse. Job Summary

The Family Greeter/Receptionist will primarily be responsible for providing the Santa Rosa Kids' House (SRKH) client reception services, including but not limited to: face to face and phone reception for clients, ensuring the waiting and reception area is presentable and preparing and implementing special comfort techniques for child victims and their non-offending caregivers. Must pass a background check.

Summary of essential job functions

1.  Direct child victims and caregivers to appropriate team members to receive services.

2.  Prepare/offer comfort items to guests and caregivers visiting the house (cookies, toys, books).

3.  Provide supervision and support for children and families receiving services at the House.

Duties include: Answering multi-line telephone/Greeting walk in consumers of CIL Disability Resource Center with all types of disabilities as well as vendors, service, providers, businesses and caregivers.
