Help kick off tax season by supporting free, walk-in tax preparation services for members of our community. We are seeking IRS-certified volunteers to assist with this important effort.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, offered by United Way of West Florida, provides free, reliable tax preparation for individuals and families with household incomes of $67,000 or less. IRS-certified volunteers help ensure tax returns are prepared accurately, securely, and at no cost, allowing taxpayers to keep more of what they earn. Whether you are a student, a senior, or a working individual supporting a family, VITA is designed to serve you.

United Way of West Florida fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community. Through the IRS-certified VITA program, we help hardworking individuals and families in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties save money on tax preparation fees and access the refunds and credits they've earned. 

VITA Tax Preparers work directly with community members to complete individual tax returns using IRS-approved software. No prior tax or accounting experience is required. All volunteers receive free IRS certification and hands-on support.
