Unity In The Family Ministry

Unity In The Family Ministry (UFM) mission is to assist and provide members of our community a workable option in gaining reconciliation with their families and community. This reconciliation will occur by empowering our members with the ability to gain control over their life controlling problems by a renewing of their minds and transforming their lives to positive productive citizens. UFM, embraces a model for community partnership. UFM, vision is to assist underserved communities by providing assistance in youth development, social justice, economic development, job training, and an advocate on issues related to environmental and climate justice.

1. Unity In The Family Ministry is providing an Environmental Careers Worker Training Program where over the past 7 years 180 students graduate and are employed. 2. Unity In The Family Ministry, is conducting an Environmental Justice (EJ) Project with the Wedgewood community where we have taught residents how to do GIS mapping, conduct health surveys and form an E J AD-HOC Committee with our county commission. 3. Provided 4,000 gifts to kids who participate in our Angel Tree project who parents are incarcerated in state & federal penal institutions 4. Conducted parenting classes for 100 inmates and behavior modification classes for 80 juveniles in at the county jail.
