MORE THAN A SPORTS PROGRAM FOR KIDS & TEENS Our Mission: First Tee Gulf Coast is a youth-serving organization that teaches golf as a life-long sport to instill character education through the game’s inherent “Nine Core Values.” Since the founding of our Local Chapter in 2003, we have worked to spread character education and junior golf to the counties (Bay, Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton) of the Florida Panhandle through 102 National School Programs in area (K-5) schools and 15 Golf Course program sites. Incorporating the Summer Tour of the Greater Pensacola Junior Golf Association and presenting the annual Divot Derby Week (est. 1958), we strive in particular to reach young people who otherwise might not have an opportunity to learn and play the game of golf and to learn its inherent values. First Tee Gulf Coast is committed to growing the game while ensuring that our programs are accessible and affordable to youth of all backgrounds, diversities, social strata and physical abilities, and always regardless of income or ability to pay.

We enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do.
