Milk and Honey Outreach Ministries, Inc.

Since our founding in 1992, over a thousand children have become stronger citizens through participating in Milk and Honey programs. Art, culture, science, history and literature become fun and engaging extensions of learning through our after-school, weekend and summer programs. We expand their skills in communication, relationship-building and leadership to prepare them for success. We enhance their skills in reading, math and technology to ensure they are prepared for a career or college. Our children and youth have benefited because individuals, companies and churches have generously and unselfishly donated their time, talents and treasure. It is truly a blessing to have many partners ensure our future and the future of our work through their tax-deductible donations. We are grateful. For 25 years, we are still standing on the promise of our founder and executive director, Sonya Culliver, to want for and give our children and youth the best so that they can become strong adults who live their fullest potential.

Milk and Honey Outreach Ministry’s mission is to help strengthen children and youth to live up to their fullest potential. Our after-school, weekend and summer programs offer under-resourced, high-poverty youth living in and around the Attucks Court public housing community a safe and nurturing place to grow during out-of-school hours. We also provide a variety of single-gender programs to give children a chance to thrive and focus on particular topics. Milk and Honey implements comprehensive programs designed to increase student academic performance, and to prepare students for college and careers by enhancing communication and leadership skills. Students are involved in art and cultural projects as well.
