Description:

Leveraging the resources of certified domestic violence centers is vital in ensuring family safety. DCF is the oversight entity of the state’s certified domestic violence centers which include co-located advocates. There is an expectation that the advocates work side-byside with CPIs, regardless of whether there is a release of information. Advocates can still be consulted for general advice on coercive and controlling behaviors as well as a connection to community resources. This training will provide an overview of certified domestic violence centers and co-located advocates as part of the CPI Project and their role as an agency partner.
