Are you looking to make a difference in your community? Want to be prepared for emergencies and disasters? Then join the Escambia County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)!
Our CERT program is offering FREE training starting July 30th. Our mission is to educate and empower community members to respond to emergency situations in their neighborhoods until professional help arrives. Whether it is a natural disaster or a medical emergency, CERT members are trained to provide critical assistance and support.
The training will cover a variety of topics such as disaster preparedness, fire safety, triage, first aid, and search and rescue techniques. You will also learn about team organization and how to effectively work with local emergency responders. Our experienced instructors will guide you through hands-on drills and simulations, preparing you for different situations that may arise
Being a part of CERT means joining a team of dedicated individuals who are committed to serving their community. Not only will you gain valuable skills, but you will also have the opportunity to form new friendships and build a stronger, more resilient neighborhood.
Training schedule:
In class training- July 30th, August 1st, August 6th, August 8th (6 to 9 pm)
Hands-on training- August 10th (8 am to 6 pm)
