Volunteers Needed for Escambia CERT Team

Are you prepared for the next disaster? Do you want to help your family, neighborhood, or Escambia County? Join us for free disaster preparedness training! Upon completing the classroom and practical exercises, CERT members will be equipped to assist others in their neighborhoods or workplaces when professional responders are not immediately available.

To be a Escambia CERT member you will need to take the following training:

G-317 Basic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

The "Community Emergency Response Teams" (CERT-317) course serves as an introduction for new participants or a refresher for current team members. The CERT program educates citizens about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.

Class Schedule:

  • Dates: Tuesday and Thursdays : October 14th, 16th, 21st, and 23rd. Saturday October 25th. 
  • Time: 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM (T/Th nightly) then 
  • Final Day: October 25th, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Location: 6575 North W Street, Pensacola, FL 32505
