United Way of West Florida fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community. Through the IRS-certified VITA program, we help hardworking individuals and families in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties save money on tax preparation fees and access the refunds and credits they've earned.
About the Role
VITA Site Coordinators serve as on-site leaders who help manage daily operations at free tax preparation sites. Coordinators support volunteers, assist taxpayers, and ensure quality service in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Lead the operations of a VITA tax site
Support teams of volunteers throughout each shift
Maintain compliance with IRS guidelines
Troubleshoot issues and communicate with UWWF staff
Create a welcoming and professional environment for taxpayers
Support high-quality, accurate tax return preparation
Training Provided (Free)

IRS VITA Advanced Tax Certification
Site leadership training
Ongoing coaching throughout the season
