POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Ronald McDonald Family Room Volunteer helps establish a warm and caring atmosphere for family members and visitors. Volunteers assist guests and assist in maintaining a clean, well-organized and well-stocked Family Room.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities of the Ronald McDonald Family Room (RMFR) Volunteer are:
- Provide a warm & welcoming atmosphere for families and visitors
- Greet and Connect directly with visitors and staff
- Register families using the Ipad and share Guidelines for its usage
- Ensure that the RMFR is clean and tidy Assist stocking supplies a
- Assist guests with the laundry room
- Practice and follow all hospital security and safety procedures
- Perform miscellaneous duties as needed
- Complete tasks independently
- Report for your position on time and ready to help families
- Dress neatly and professionally in business casual attire
- Wear your volunteer ID badge
Volunteers are not permitted to:
- Share or divulge any family/patient information. All information will be held in strictest confidence
- Give advice on medical/clinical procedures to families
