Description

Provide comfort and peace of mind—one call at a time.

Tuck-In Call Volunteers play an important role in supporting hospice patients and their families by making weekly check-in calls. These calls are typically made near the end of the week to ensure patients have the supplies, medications, and support they need for the weekend ahead.

This simple, yet meaningful outreach helps prevent gaps in care and reassures families that they are not alone. Volunteers follow a guided script to ask important questions and communicate any needs or concerns to the hospice care team.

Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

  • Making weekly “tuck-in” phone calls to patients or caregivers
  • Asking guided questions about supplies, medications, and overall needs
  • Documenting responses and reporting any concerns to staff
  • Providing a friendly, supportive presence during each call

Program Details:

  • Calls are typically made from the office
  • Flexible scheduling, usually 1–2 hours per week
  • Training and support provided

If you enjoy helping others and want to make a meaningful impact in a structured, supportive way, this is a great opportunity to serve.
